Many believe that the engine or the exhaust or the suspension are the most important part of a car but in my experience the place where the summed power of all these elements comes in contact with the road is actually the most important. I am talking about the tires, of course, and in my career as a race car driver, having learned this, I have always kept an vigilant eye on my tires, be it my race car or the one I use to drive my kids to school. So when bridgestonetiresreivews.com asked me to give them my opinion so that they could feature it as one of their Bridgestone tires reviews I was only too happy to oblige them.

And if you want my honest opinion then you are better off with other tires then with the Bridgestone ones. Don’t get me wrong, they are one of the top tire manufacturers in the world and their tires are in a class of their own but you are really not getting your money’s worth out of them. I would use them only if I absolutely needed that kind of grip and power. But setting my racing car driver career aside I have never actually needed to pay that much to have those kind of tires.

I will admit that after we had our first child we were a bit overwhelmed and for that first year I bought a set of Bridgestone tires and they were absolutely great. I could drive in the deepest snow or patches of ice in the road just like I was driving on a dry summer’s road. But then again I realized that with just a little bit more attention to my driving I could get over any winter with just a regular set of all season, stock tires.

As a car mechanic I am often enough asked by my customers what the best tires for their cars might be but it is very rare that I get the chance to talk about just one brand of tires like the people from bridgestontiresreviews.com have asked me to do. And I must say that it is a delight to add my opinion to the Bridgestone tires reviews collection they have particularly because I happen to know one of their other specialists, Kevin, and I would like to balance his opinion out.

Not that Bridgestone are not one of the biggest and best tire manufacturers at the moment but the fact is that their truck tires division is their work horse. So if you were to buy a set of truck tires from them you would be doing a good job and a good investment and I’m sure that Kevin has already told you about that.

But if you are looking for passenger tires I think you could do far better than Bridgestone. That is because their tires are just not soft enough to give you the maneuvering and grip capabilities of other tires like Pirelli or Michelin. They are still one of the best tires out there but if you are going to pay that much money why not pay it for the best set of tires available. The truth is you would get about the same quality you would get from the Bridgestone Sport as you would get from the Kumho Ecsta except that with the Kumho you would be paying far less.

I will admit, though, that the Bridgestone Blizzak is a great line of winter tires no matter the size of your car. Even on this point there actually are better tires, that are somewhat better than Bridgestone, like the Pirelli Winter Carving, but Bridgestone will last you much longer and the difference in quality of handling is marginal.

It is a very difficult challenge the one that the people for bridgestontiresreviews.com have set before me because it is very difficult indeed to give an authorized opinion about such a big company as Bridgestone and with such a history behind them. Are they the best tire company in the world? Maybe! They certainly have the expertise to make that claim? But are they the only ones and aren’t there other companies that can make that claim too? In any case there are several great Bridgestone tires on the market today and my addition to the Bridgestone tires reviews will be to talk about them.

So where Bridgestone really excel and where probably no one would contest their superiority is in the truck tires area. And there the Bridgestone Dueler Sport are the best summer tires you could get. They work great both on wet and dry terrain and they have some of the best scores in tread wear. That is to say these tires are guaranteed to see at least 80.000 miles of road with you provided you also use a second set of tires for winter.

And for winter the Bridgestone Blizzak line is great for both passenger and truck tires. These are great tires with a thermal response technology embedded in them that allows them to react to the driving conditions and adapt to the condition of the road. They are somewhat pricy but if there is a time when you should not cut corners then that is winter.

And as far as the passenger car summer tires are concerned the Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires are clearly the way to go. These are 4 tread tires and each tire has a different function bringing new levels of design and technology to your driving experience. They have a central tread line for perfect cornering and 2 way guiding sipes to eliminate the possibility of hydroplaning. And they are also some of the most silent tires you could hope for.
